Back in October my mom flew out for a quick visit. While she was here we decided to go visit the Air Force Academy that is located here in Colorado Springs.

We started off the morning by walking over to the Egg & I for a very yummy breakfast and then took off for the Academy!

Titan was SO excited to have Grandma Cindy here for the weekend!

One of the main reasons I love Egg & I. No waiting on a server for refills! 🙂

Titan had a lot of fun walking around the visitors center asking us questions about everything from their uniforms, to their daily activities and even their mascot.

This is Titan’s serious pose. He was trying to be like the photo behind him! 😉

I found these requirements rather interesting. Ti told me to take a photo so he could remember that he has to do to go to the Air Force Academy when he’s older. 🙂

On our walk to the Cadet Chapel.

I really liked all the signs they had around the campus talking about campus life, the area, etc. Made for a fun educational experience for Titan.

This building is incredible and so pretty! Definitely a must see if you find yourself near the Air Force Academy.

So glad my mom got to come with us! We love when she visits because it gives us a great excuse to get out and explore our own home town!

Our view on our walk back to the Visitors Center! Love all the colors we get in the Fall!

While we were on campus we watched a short film about the life of a new cadet. It was very informative and gives you a great idea of what it takes to be a student at the Air Force Academy!

Overall, we were so glad we took the time to go visit the Academy. Before we went I thought it might be a little over Titan’s head, but once we got there we realized that wasn’t true at all. They have made it such a great experience for adults and kids! Ti loved all the planes and cool things they had spread out around campus…and I think he even learned a thing or two! 🙂 (Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it was all FREE!)
