This last Saturday I took Titan to a Build & Grow Event at Lowe’s. At the event, Ti was able to build his very own Spooky Stacker!
He got to practice following directions and using a hammer. (And I got to practice moving my fingers really fast!)

Then, he got to practice his fine motor skills by placing all the stickers on.

I loved how focused he was. He was so worried about getting everything “just right”.

Last but not least, he got to show it to a Lowe’s employee for a quick “inspection”.

I guess it passed! 😉
We had never been to a Lowe’s Build and Grow Event before, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Overall, I’d say it was a great experience and we will definitely be going back. In fact, Ti was asking as we were walking out when the next one was. (Side note: If you are wondering how long the events are, we were in and out in about 30 minutes.)
Ti loved building something & getting his very own badge and certificate and I loved that he was learning while having fun. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the event was also free! (They even gave him a pair of googles & a badge to add to his very own Lowe’s apron! Not bad at all for a free event!)

If you would like to attend a Lowe’s Build and Grow Event, the next event is being held November 9th at a most Lowe’s locations. You can sign up online at the Lowe’s site. You will want to note that spots fill up fast! Like, really fast. So to get a spot, make sure to sign up ASAP! (If you miss out on this class, it looks as though they hold one class per month. So make sure to try for the next class in December or January.)
PS: I am not being paid or sponsored in any way to write this post. Just wanted to share an event that we had a really positive experience with. If Lowe’s would like to contact me about future posts though, totally open to that possibility! 🙂
