ah. week three of my new years resolutions. this week the goal is to begin and end each day with prayer, meditation and reflection.

i must admit, am still working on cultivating gratitude and fitting in an hour of solitude each day. truthfully, some days i’m just grateful for 5 minutes of solitude. although i have noticed a huge difference when i make the time for longer periods of solitude and put more focus gratitude. i’m more calm. more centered. more focused.

am now noticing how much all the “to do’s” on the list work together. an hour of solitude is the perfect time to write some thank you notes or to pray & meditate. of course i’ve also counted a nap as an hour of solitude as well! is that cheating? i mean, who doesn’t love a short afternoon lap? they feel so luxurious. i feel so spoiled when i actually do have a lazy afternoon when such a nap is possible. i think i may add to the list, take more sunday afternoon, or any afternoon for that matter, naps! 🙂

anyone else have a love of lazy afternoon naps? i surely can’t be the only one?

well, am off to plan tomorrow, organize some coupons, possibly watch the secretariat…

….and of course end my day with some reflection & prayer! 🙂
