almost every time i go through my photo’s in search of a particular photo for a blog post i run across random snap shots that i’ve taken of events, my little man and just life in general. photo’s that have gotten lost in the mess of uploads and unorganized chaos i call my photo files. photo’s of things that at one time or another i wanted to remember.
sadly the majority of the time i find myself going “shoot!” that was something i wanted to post about or something that i wanted to add to the blog so it’s documented as i use this blog as a journal, as well as a means of socializing and creating.
in fact, just yesterday i found myself thinking that and because of that thought and how often i find myself thinking it lately, i am starting a new sunday project titled:
sunday snapshot(s)
so creative i know! you can praise me on my brilliant project naming skills the next to you see me. (insert sarcasm here)
each sunday until i’m caught up i’ll be posting random photo’s that have been lost in the shuffle of life. it may be just a photo, or it may have a story attached. i believe this will help me go back and document all those stories or thoughts i don’t want to get lost, but that don’t really fit in anywhere else because they happened a year ago. i think this will also help to create a better flow in my blog as it will give me a chance to look back on sunday, but keep moving forward the rest of the week.
first up today, photo’s of my son the morning i told him he needed to be dressed to go outside. a month or so ago the little man was desperate to go outside and i kept telling him he needed to be dressed first. i was hoping he would get distracted and move on to another task.
no such luck i soon found out. a short while later he came to me with his shoes and had me put them on. after i put on his shoes he disappeared for a couple minutes and returned wearing his uncle’s jersey, saying “outside, all dressed.” while he waited by the door for me.
i tried to explain to him that he wasn’t dressed, but in his mind he was! he was so mad when i told him that wasn’t the type of “dressed” i meant. i know, i’m such a mean mom. to him, he had solved the problem, he was all dressed, so it was definitely time for outside. he’s truly too smart for his own good.
don’t worry, after i stopped laughing i did find him a better fitting outfit, and we did go outside. i just had to take pictures though of his idea of “dressed” because it was way too cute! my problem solving little man at his finest.
