all right, i’ve been to walgreen’s again. here is my third coupon trip since all this craziness began! 🙂 my question is, are these walgreen’s posts helping anyone, or are you just getting sick of them? if you like these posts with the spreadsheets & details, please leave a comment otherwise i’ll stop doing them and figure all my readers and couponing pro’s. 🙂
here is what i purchased this week:

and here is the broken down spreadsheet:
a couple notes:
* you’ll notice on transaction #3 i wasn’t charged any tax according to my receipt. i’m not sure why that occurred.
* on transaction #5 the math doesn’t quite add up and looking over the receipt it looks like something went different with the orbit gum. i got more off than i thought i would, but i can’t quite figure out how, so that explains the discrepancy in the math there.
* also in the picture you will notice some flintstones gummi vitamins. i actually had planned on purchasing the go! kids vitamins that were on ad but my walgreen’s didn’t have them in stock (in fact, they never received any) so they let me choose a similar product for free! i thought that was extremely nice of the manager at that store! especially since when i went to another location to look for them, they just said, “sorry, you’re out of luck. check back in a few days!” this instance showed me even more that a lot can be said for which location you do your shopping at!!! i definitely have a favorite, and drive a little further to get to it!
*you’ll see that on transaction #5 i bought a toy pup that isn’t pictured (the eggs also aren’t pictured, i forgot about them in the fridge!). i had to put the mini pup into hiding since he’s for ti’s valentine’s bucket and ti was helping me take the picture. this pup was just too cute to resist, plus i thought i needed a filler item and so into the cart he went. remember when you do your shopping to make sure you always have an item for each coupon you have, and that each register reward counts as a separate coupon. so if you have 6 total coupons, you need six total items.
overall i ended up getting:
1 lysol automatic soap dispenser
4 boxes of special k cereal
2 packs of bic razors (one was even a value 6 pack! extra bonus!)
1 carton of eggs
2 packages of gummi bears
1 mini toy pup
4 lysol toilet cleaners
2 packs of orbit gum
& 2 EOS lip balm (my most favorite lip balm ever!!! seriously, this stuff is the best!)
all for just $21.34!
incredible! had i walked in and paid full price for everything my total would have been around $85.98!
i think my favorite purchases this week were the cereal at .50 cents a box, the bic razors which were 10 count for $4.00 & the EOS lip balms for only .99 cents each! love it, love it, love it!
all right, so now the question is, are you all liking these posts and the breakdown or are you over them? let me know! 🙂
oh and as always, you can find the walgreen’s best deals over at freebies2deals. that’s where i start from each week when i plan my shopping excursion!
ps. it was pretty funny, as i was checking out a dad and his kids got in line behind me and i noticed the dad looking at my written out breakdown that helps me know how my transactions need to go. he saw me looking and said “that’s quite the coupon system you have going there, it looks like gibberish to me, but it must be working for you.” i then told him i have a husband in medical school and we’re trying to get through without mounds of debt and with me being a stay at home mom and he said “well from the looks of this sheet, you’re both smart enough for med school, that kid has some genes, the lucky duck!”
i thought it was funny to see a guys view on all this couponing.
