i love that i have gotten so much better at remembering to take photo’s this last year! it’s so fun to go back through iphoto and be able to remember all the highlights of the 2010. before the last year or so i was horrible at pulling out my camera, totally not kidding. broc and i have maybe 3 photo’s from when we were dating! yikes!
of course, since joining blogland, i’ve probably photograph more than i should. i pull out my camera now and my family says “oh for the blog, right?”. gotta love it. the following pics are from our trip to utah over christmas and most likely fall into the crazy photo category but as it was happening i thought, i so want to remember this. i’ll apologize now that this post is pretty much three posts in one.
any way, here’s the reason for the following few photos. my mom and i met for dinner and decided to just eat in the jordan commons food court since we were both in the mood for different things and the food court hosts a variety of options, plus it’s right by her work.
so what did we end up with?
an order of cheesy bread with ranch and marinara sauce
an order of cheese fries, also with ranch
and an order of scones with honey butter!
guess we weren’t really in the mood for “different things”. lol. that’s right our dinner consisted of cheese bread, cheese fries & scones! (oh, and of course i also got a diet coke!) we definitely got a laugh when we saw all our food right in front of us!
all i have to say is best. dinner. ever! and of course, totally a dinner that needed to be documented. we even had a couple walk by and the husband point out our food selection to his wife as he got quite the laugh over it. from my point of view, he was the one missing out. i say again, best. dinner. ever! 🙂 i love it.
now for more of our utah adventures. for new years eve we got together with my brother and his family to play games and just hang out. we had fun playing apple to apples, pirates cove, aquire & trains while the mini ones had fun “playing with cousins”. it is so fun to see ti guy interacting with his cousins more now that he is older and gets what is going on. of course, his three older cousins are girls so as my sister-in-law said “it’s all pink at our house” but that was more than ok because ti guy is, as you will see, a good sport and doesn’t mind playing with the girls.

broc playing his favorite game ever! actually it’s really not. he only played it to humor us girls. he says he can’t stand it because there is no strategy involved. i say, too bad! strategy, schmategy!

apples to apples & pirates cove!
we definitely enjoy game nights in our family. in fact, it’s pretty much a weekly sunday tradition and has been for a few years! i’m thinking i need to get together some couples from our neighborhood and start game night here. i kind of have withdrawals, although i’ll never really admit that to my family! 😉
of course once new years was over, it was time to pack up and head back to colorado! i still can’t believe how fast the two weeks we were in utah went by! i was afraid we wouldn’t have enough to do, but instead we didn’t have enough time to fit everything in!
my mom’s christmas tree the morning we left at 5:00 am.
broc on the drive home. this photo is ridiculous for so many reasons!
so, i look back during the drive and see that titan has taken to entertaining himself by placing these buckets over his head and then listening to his voice echo in them! he loved playing with these on the drive. who knew they would be such great travel toys! silly little man!
gorgeous views from the car around vale.
…and we are home, and making pina colada’s! what a trip!
