this morning we drove out to a pumpkin fest i read about a few weeks ago, held at chatfield. the event is put on by the denver botanical gardens each year for two days in october and is apparently a very popular outing!

we walked through a pumpkin patch, played with puppies, rode on some rides, took a hayride & listened to some ghost stories. overall. it was a very slow paced, fun & relaxing fall morning. it wasn’t gardner village, but it was a close second! i think we might have to make it a yearly tradition while we live here in colorado!

side note: broc has decided to take on the look of a mountain man & hasn’t shaved since beginning of september & doesn’t plan on shaving until the end of october. like really? at first he said it was for school and a “mancer” fundraiser (raising funds to promote awareness of male forms of cancer) but then i found it he wasn’t actually participating in the fundraiser…and the fundraiser ended on october 1st! again i say, like really?
