i’ve been trying to be a fun mom and playmate, although i’m not sure it’s helping. i’m hoping in time he’ll adjust to this new routine of ours. of course he’ll probably start to adjust right around the time we move to colorado and then it’ll be all brand new all over again. that really will be a transition. poor dude, he can’t catch a break lately, his world just keeps changing.
in my attempt to be keep us active and allow him to get his wiggles out, and keep him from missing dad, we have tried some new things over the last week or so. the first was the dinosaur museum. for only $10 he was able to run and point and run some more. for a total of 3 hours it was back and forth from the front of the museum to the back of the museum and repeat. he ran his little legs off & even walked away with a new book for bedtime, how do dinosaurs learn their colors. he’s not spoiled or anything.

then just yesterday, for another $10, i found a water toy for the backyard. it’s one of those plastic spray things that hooks up to your hose, whatever those are called? i decided “why not” and threw it in the cart to try after the little man’s nap when we got home. upon his awaking, we suited him up, slathered him with suncreen, and hooked the toy up to the hose. i was a little unsure of how he would react, but the toy was a success. he was in heaven! truthfully, it was kind of cool because it came with four balls that spin around in it and then shoot up in the water and i even had fun watching that. it kept him entertained until the clouds came and his lips started turning blue from the cold. overall, definitely worth the $10. i’m sure we’ll be busting it out many times this summer. a cheap easy way to keep him active and entertained outside. done and done. it doesn’t hurt that my son loves all things water! i swear he’s half fish!

and that’s a wrap. coming up the rest of the week: my favorite way to store my jewelry, another of my favorite treats, & a new found favorite hair product.
