Another month has come and gone! Thankfully, April was the calm before the chaos that is going to be May and June. 🙂
In April…
Titan enjoyed having Broc around a lot more. Broc didn’t have a rotation for most of the month and so Ti got to have a lot more time with dad. Love seeing these two spend time together!

We made our traditional blueberry muffins for General Conference. Definitely one of my most favorite weekends of the year. I always learn SO much!

I took the oh so fun and tasty glucose test. This test really makes me re-think any and all sugar we are giving to our kids. LOL I felt SO gross after drinking it. I asked if that was normal (I couldn’t remember from the last time I took it which was 5 1/2 years ago) and was told that it was very normal and that it’s just all the sugar going through my system. My heart was racing, I was shaking, I felt nauseated and it was just not a good feeling.
Thankfully, this test and my blood work came back normal other than low iron. That wasn’t a big surprise or shocker though because I’ve always had low iron.

We implemented a tech free week (well mostly tech free) and instead spent time doing things like Kiwi Crate Projects

…and playing with Play Doh. (More to come on our tech free week in another post though!)

I took my finals for Winter semester!
I cannot even say what a relief it was to have my finals over with the second week in April. Such a relief that I can now just focus on the move we have coming up and this pregnancy. (Also, so nice not to have to lug my huge Mac to and from the Seminary Building to have my tests proctored every other week! Talk about a major pain. All well, the things we do for education, right?!)

Titan and I both got a virus of some sort and spent lots of time napping. 🙁 I always know this little man isn’t feeling well when he randomly falls asleep around the house.
He had a cough/tactile fever/lack of appetite/cough for a couple weeks and actually ended up with an ear infection. The ear infection was ZERO fun for everyone but thankfully a round of antibiotics cleared it right up and Titan was a trooper. Thankfully that is the first ever ear infection we have ever had to deal with.

We went to the Lowes Build and Grow Clinic and Titan got to build a Recycling Truck.

We tried out Firehouse Subs for the first time! So YUMMY! All the food we tried was really good. In fact, I seriously want to ask them next time where they get their pickles from. I have been wanting another one of their pickles every since we left.

Plus, we loved their decor. How fun are the fireman hats and Dalmatian print tables?!

We grabbed our traditional Rizuto’s Ice Cream after Date Night!

We enjoyed playing Titan’s new Bee Attitudes Game that he got for Easter.
Titan has a book called the Bee Attitudes and at the back of the book they advertise this game. For a year or two now Titan has been asking to get the game. The “Easter Bunny” finally tracked down the game for a decent price at Deseret Book and it’s now a family favorite.

…and Titan got a fun Easter package from his Grandma Cindy (my mom). Titan is definitely VERY lucky to have the grandparents that he has!

We took advantage of Scoop Fest at Baskin Robbins!
I love their mint chocolate chip ice cream but can’t bring myself to pay $2.29 per scoop. So when we heard they were advertising $1.00 per scoop during Scoop Fest, we decided to make a trip (or two!). Titan tried out the Spiderman flavor and had quite the colorful mouth after.

…and we spent more time at Lifetime where Titan still LOVES the rock wall. (We have been going in the evenings from 7:00-8:00 or so and so that is why he is in pajamas.)
Of course, this month since he had lost so much weight from the virus he had, we had to attach a leash so we could get him back down since he didn’t weight enough anymore to just repel down. Thankfully, his weight seems to be going right back up! 🙂 (Of course, that’s no surprise considering all our visits to Rizuto’s and Baskin Robbins!) 😉

I know Easter was weeks ago and that April is already over, but I still wanted to document our Easter before I forget. Unless I get a post up, the pictures get lost in the deep dark whole of photos in my Mac library. (Please tell me I’m not the only one that needs to do a massive clean out of their photos!)

Easter for us this year was pretty low key. We dyed Easter eggs as a family Saturday afternoon, Ti got his Easter basket from the Easter Bunny Sunday morning, we went to church after that and then that evening we went to my in-laws for dinner. I had wanted to take Titan to a local Easter Egg Hunt or something but it seems those don’t really get done in our area anymore. 🙁 (I guess there was a HUGE ordeal at a local hunt a few years ago that involved parents being too involved and so now most hunts in Colorado Springs have been permanently cancelled. So sad if you ask me!) I’m crossing my fingers that things are the same in Pennsylvania and that we can do a hunt next year.

Any way, here is our weekend in pictures…

Let the coloring begin!

My boys! Love these two!

Titan was very meticulous with his designs on the eggs. Love his seriousness and concentration.

Dad even got in on the fun and colored a few of his own.

One of the eggs wouldn’t stay in the coloring and so Titan spent literally ten minutes pushing it back down every time it would pop back up.

These two…Ti was telling Broc some secret plan of some sort. I’m glad this next little one is a girl otherwise I’d really be in trouble. 😉

Some of the finished product!

Titan’s basket hidden by the Easter Bunny
(I know, SO not creative but when you live in a small apartment, you start running out of places to hide things.)

YAY! He found it!
Checking out the candy!

Speaking of candy – there was definitely plenty to go around!

On the drive to Grandma & Grandpa’s house. Titan asked if he could wear this crown and we told him that would be fine. Half way to their house I looked back and he was asleep like this! Funny little man!

…and last, but not least, a quick photo of Ti and his Uncle Brady with all the eggs they found on the Easter Egg Hunt Grandma and Grandpa set up around the house. (Brady was a really good sport to do the hunt with Titan.)
That reminds me, how many of you grew up doing an Easter Egg Hunt with the eggs you dyed?
When Broc and I did our first Easter with Titan, we dyed the eggs and then Broc told me we needed to hide them. I was really surprised and asked why? He said “Because that’s what you do. You dye the Easter eggs and then the Easter Bunny hides them and you go on a hunt for them.” He asked me what we always did with our eggs and I told him we didn’t dye them every year and when we did, we certainly didn’t hide them around the house but rather just used them as decor. And if we did a hunt, we looked for plastic eggs with candy or little trinkets in them. I mean, who wants to hunt for a few day old hard boiled eggs?
It was one of those funny moments where you realize that each family has their own traditions and way of doing things. Of course, despite how weird I thought it was, now that Titan has done a similar hunt a few years in a row at my in-laws, I can see how my husband’s way it’s sort of fun…even though you do just end right back with the same eggs you started with…and no chocolate! 😉

It’s been a while since my last pregnancy update so I figured I should do a quick 30 week update. I cannot believe we will be meeting this baby girl in about 10 weeks!! So crazy!

How far along? 30 weeks

How big is baby? According to my pregnancy app, baby girl is about 15.7 in and about 3 pounds (size of a bunch of large cabbage) Side note: Broc and I always get a kick out of the “food” comparisons on the app. I mean what classifies a cabbage as large? And how does that differ a ton from like a head of lettuce?!

Total weight gain/loss: At about an 8 pound weight gain right now.

Maternity clothes? Yes. Wearing about 1/2 regular clothes and 1/2 maternity clothes.

Sleep: Other than waking up earlier in the mornings, sleep is going well. Even getting in naps here and there! (I have to admit, it has been SO nice that Broc hasn’t had a rotation the last few weeks!)

Wedding ring on or off: My ring is still on. In fact, I just noticed this week it’s getting loose.

Movement: Tons! Although she is a stinker and stops moving every time Broc tries to feel her kicks and movement. She’ll be moving like crazy and so I’ll tell him to come over and right then she’ll stop right then.

Food cravings:  The cravings have pretty much died down. I do still sometimes get random cravings for greasy/cheesy food though. Think cheese bread or cheese fries. LOL

Food Aversions: Still can’t even think about food from a place like Hu Hot or my stomach churns. YUCK! Also, can’t seem to handle Green Smoothies?!

Labor Signs:  None yet.

Pregnancy Symptoms:  So far just the mild weight gain and some occasional nausea. I did get a virus a couple weeks ago and that was AWFUL. So glad that other than a lingering cough, I’m over that. (Only took two weeks…) 🙁

Belly Button in or out? My inny has definitely become an outy.

What I miss: Being able to get up and down easily and being able to sit crossed legged in my office chair.

Exercise: Broc and I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week the past few weeks and I’ve been walking on the treadmill for 45-60 minutes. I have also been doing some short 15 minute pregnancy videos at home once or twice a week as well.

Medications: My prenatal vitamin and iron 2x a day. Finally off all of my nausea medications for the most part! (Still taking a Unisom or Zofran here and there when I noticed the nausea acting up) YAY! 🙂

Upcoming Events/Appointments: My next and last appointment with my OB here in Colorado is on May 28th. After that I’ll have to find a new doctor in Pennsylvania and start meeting with them. Not too worried about it though considering Broc will kind of sorta has connections at the local hospital! 😉
