Antigua
While we were in Antigua we did the Prickly Pear Island Adventure where you get to go out to a private island, enjoy the beach and have a yummy lunch. Some of Broc’s family had done this excursion before and they highly recommended it. The day started off a little tricky due to a massive rain storm and us almost not being able to get to the island. Luckily though, the storm came and went fairly quickly and then we were able to enjoy the rest of the day on the island.
Ti checking out the huge shell some of the cousins found while snorkeling.
Building Sand Castles with Boston and Sydney.
I LOVED having some time to relax in the sun and read.
Plus, the view was pretty awesome!
Look at that sand and water! Such a pretty island!
Playing football on the beach!
At every beach we went to Titan loved to just sit and run his hands through the water and sand. It’s probably during this time he contemplated the important things in life and mapped out the next ten years of his life… 😉
Titan at the Child Center that night. Each night we would check him into the Child Center for an hour or two after dinner while we went to a show or just enjoyed some adult time. It was a win win for everyone, especially since not all of the shows, comedians, etc. were especially age appropriate for a 5 year old. He had fun doing crafts, playing games and hanging out with other kids and we got to enjoy some down time as just adults after spending all day as a family. (I’m telling you, cruises are seriously the best way to travel because of all of the options!)
St. Maarten
The day we were in St. Maarten the family rented four wheelers and did a tour around the island. Broc and I agreed that it probably wasn’t the best idea to be pregnant and on a four wheeler and so I spent the day enjoying a “sea day” on board the ship! I’m not going to lie, it was by far one of my most favorite days. Plus, I needed the time to recuperate and gear up for the remaining days of the trip!
I got myself a nice yummy breakfast of toast and yogurt (pretty much what I ate every morning since it was the only food bland enough to keep my nausea at bay) and then laid out by the pool reading Divergent and ordering Chocolate Banana Smoothies!
On this trip I was able to start and finish both Mockingjay and Divergent and it was SO nice! I usually don’t have the time anymore to make it through an entire book. So to make it through two books was awesome! Definitely excited to read more of the Divergent series! (And to see the Divergent movie coming out in a few weeks!)
Once I had enjoyed enough sun, I made my way back to the room, ordered some cheesecake and then took a nap until the boys got back! (I seriously LOVE the room service and the service in general on cruises!)
I sent Broc four wheeling with our camera and here are a few of the photo’s he got. I love Ti’s obligatory smile in this one. 🙂
Scenic shot!
Titan with some of the rest of the family crew!
St. Thomas
The day we were in St. Thomas we took a ferry over to St. John and went to Trunk Bay. The bay was really pretty and has some good snorkeling but Broc and I both said that if we were in St. Thomas again we would go to Cocoa Bay instead. (We did Cocoa Bay on our last Caribbean Cruise and have definitely wanted to go back! Plus, it seemed it was less traveling, cheaper, and just as good of experience in our opinion as Trunk Bay. I was happy though that we got to see St. John because I’ve decided it’s definitely an island I’d like to go back to and spend more time one. Very pretty and tourist friendly!)

My boys! Love them!
EVERY time Titan is in the water his hair does this weird thing where it’s totally flat in the front and then sticking straight up in the back. I’m not sure if he pats it down in the front, or if it’s just something weird his hair does…LOL
The “taxi’s” we got to ride around in on the island.
The boys walking around some of the shops in St. John. Broc and Titan started to go into this Spice and Souvenir shop and as I was walking up the stairs I had to turn around and let them go in by themselves. The smells did not go well with my nausea! I will definitely be happy when this pregnancy is over and my smell goes back to normal instead of being in overdrive all the time.
I was very happy though when someone found a coke machine on the island! And one with normal US Diet Coke! 🙂 Best tasting DC of the entire trip and it was ice cold!
The boys on our ride back to the ferry and to our last night on the cruise!
…and last, but not least, Ti enjoying a Sponge Bob ice cream at the airport on our way home from the trip! We were definitely sad to see this trip end. It was so nice to have all our meals taken care of, spend time together as a family, and enjoy LOTS of time in the sun!! Plus, it was fun to try out a different cruise line.
This was our first time cruising with Celebrity and while we liked them, we did decide that we prefer Princess over Celebrity. (We’ve done two Princess cruises and one Carnival cruise prior to this Celebrity cruise). The service on Celebrity and the kid activities, while awesome, were just not as awesome as we felt they were on Princess. Of course, that’s the great thing about cruises…you are usually deciding between great service and even greater service! 🙂 So our list now goes: Princess, Celebrity, and then Carnival. 🙂
PS: This resort was on St. John’s and I am determined to go back and stay here sometime in our life! So gorgeous and right along the water!!!
