With baby girl on her way I’ve been keeping an eye out for educational activities that I can do with the little man the rest of this month and next during nap times and our one on one time. Of course, since we will be working around a newborn’s schedule, things that are easy to do and implement are definitely key!

I was excited when I came across the Educents Explorer’s Guide & Summer Activities Checklist (found under the “30 Days of Freebies” tab) because it basically maps everything out for you. Not only have they compiled 50 different boredom busting activities and put them all into one list, but they have also provided a free printable checklist you can fill out with your kid(s) and made it a challenge to see how many activities your little explorer can complete by Labor Day! Send in your checklist to the Educents site by Labor Day and your child will receive an Explorers Reward!

We have been working with Titan on goal setting lately and on following through until the end on projects and so I feel like this activity guide will dove tail nicely with those goals. I look forward to sitting down with him this weekend to choose which of the activities he wants to do out of the 50! You can choose from things like learning about butterflies and moths, making Cloud Dough, building a fort, making your own wind chimes, and more!

Make sure to leave a comment if you decide to do this with your kids! We’d love to follow along with everyone and see what you all are working on as well!
