came across this show on hulu the other night (it airs on abc). i had seen commercials for it a couple weeks ago but didn’t know full episodes had actually aired yet. in my opinion, it is fantastic! go jamie go! i laughed, i gasped in horror, i cringed, and i laughed some more. i wached two full hours last night and can’t wait for friday to come so i can continue the good times.
more important than it’s humor factor, it helped inspire me further in my desire to change my eating habits and my family’s eating habits – jamie, although cheesy and emotional at times, did indeed inspire me. plus because of him, i will never eat a chicken nugget again (you’ll have to watch to find out why). i haven’t eaten one in years but now it’s going to be a permanent life-long decision.
before i even saw the show i was thinking i was going to set a deadline and a goal to overhaul my families eating habits by a certain date. either a 6, 9, or 12 month deadline. i’m talking a total overhaul. i know my eating habits need it! i am also bound and determined that my little man will not be a part of the up and coming obese generation and i know it starts first in the home and through example.
so yes, after watching this show and other shows, as well, as after much research, i’m committing to overhauling our family’s diet and nutrition. i know it’s not going to happen overnight, but i’m committed to a new approach to our health and what we eat over the next year (and of course for longer, but a year i think is the deadline i am going to go with. i figure it will take a year to put all the new changes i want into effect – perfect me wants to say a month is all i need, but i’m learning to ignore perfect me!). i may even give up my diet coke during the process… probably not…but i’ll keep the possibility open!
here’s to healthy eating, preferably while enjoying an episode of jamie oliver’s food revolution. a must see in my opinion!

That show has literally changed my life. I too will never again eat a store bought chicken nugget. I have a hard time even considering eating pizza or anything else the beige color (remember he pointed that out in the first episode)

Anyway, I am totally with you on revamping my eating habits, and in turn the eating habits of my family.

I also saw in a more recent post that
