So if you are LDS and your kids are asked to give a talk in sharing time next month, feel free to use this one. Titan said he was willing to share). 😉
Of course, Titan didn’t write this on his own. But he did help and he did an AMAZING job today giving the talk in front of the our entire ward! So proud of him and how he conducted himself during the program.
Any way, onto the talk…

Living the Teachings of Christ Strengthens Me & My Family
In The Family: A Proclamation to the World it says, “Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Some of the most important things Jesus taught were faith, prayer & forgiveness.
In Alma 32:21 we read, “If ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.” My parents and I can’t see Heavenly Father but we have faith that he is guiding us and protecting us. He does this with the help of the Holy Ghost.
Jesus also taught that we should pray to our Heavenly Father to show gratitude for what we have been given and to ask him for what others or we need. When we pray, we should be reverent and respectful.
Last, Jesus taught us about forgiveness.  He taught us that forgiving others brings peace. Forgiving people who hurt us or are mean to us isn’t always easy. But when we forgive it helps us let the bad feelings go and it makes our families and friendships stronger.
When we say our prayers, show faith and forgive others we are becoming more like Christ and that helps our homes to be places where the Spirit can be. And when the spirit is in our home it is easier to be happy and make the right choices.”

Now that we are home from church we are recuperating from our long travel day yesterday and getting ready for the week ahead. So much to catch up on and get done around here now that our vaca is over! 🙂
