Our first day in Utah we started off the day by stopping at the Egg & I for breakfast/lunch after our long flight from Pennsylvania to Utah (we left our house at like 3 am to head to the airport and arrived in Utah around 11am). Then, that night we met up with my sister and her son for a quick dinner at Panda Express.
This little man sure does love his orange chicken (and, I have to admit, so do I)! Once Ti Guy’s craving was satisfied, it was off to an event being held at the Creativity Art Studio in Orem, UT.
The Creativity Art Studio is an art studio in Orem where you can take art classes and paint your own pottery. Having worked at a home & decor store in high school that also had a paint your own pottery section in it, I was really excited try it out again and to have Titan experience it.

For this event we (Titan and I) were each given a ceramic tile to paint. I wasn’t quite sure how Titan would do with this art project, but was surprised how long he spent selecting the colors he wanting, creating a design, etc.
He definitely put way more thought and time into his tile then I thought he would and he even asked if he could take over painting my tile for me!
I was thrilled by that because part of me honestly thought he would be done painting his tile in 60 seconds and then want to leave. That was not the case at all though, and even after he finished with his tile, he enjoyed drying it, looking at pieces around the store, checking out the artwork on the wall, etc.
I’m sure it also helped that his adorable cousin was there to hang out with!
Overall, I thought the store was very well laid out, had a fun atmosphere and was surprisingly kid friendly. It is definitely a place I would take Titan again if we are ever back in that area needing to fill an afternoon. (Note: By “kid friendly” I mean they interacted with the kids well, encouraged their creativity, let them do as much of the process as possible, etc. It definitely was not “kid friendly” if you have a kid who can’t listen or keep their hands off everything. π If your kids need to be moving 24/7 and need to touch everything they see, you might end up paying for a few broken pieces as there was a lot of breakable stuff at kid height!)

…and of course I couldn’t end the post without adding in this photo of these two handsome little guys! I’d say these cousins look like they had a good time!

A special thanks to my mom for coming along and taking care of Chayse so that I could focus on Titan at the event and a VERY special thanks to Creativity Art Studio for inviting us to the event and providing us with a fun night out! Of course, while our studio fee and pottery fee were waived, all opinions are my own. π
