Trying to get caught up again. The past few months went by SO fast! I swear I blinked and it jumped from Halloween to now! 🙂
Normally I try to put things into separate and more condensed posts. For the sake of time though, I’ve decided to put all of November and all of December each in their own post. That way I can hopefully be caught up and do better at staying caught up in 2014!
As you all know, I like to take A LOT of pictures. Here are all the pics from our adventures in November! 🙂
Our gorgeous view as we drove home from Utah at the beginning of November.

Getting photo’s for Titan’s and Broc’s passports. Broc’s passport had expired after 10 years and we miss placed Titan’s passport card in our move from Utah to Colorado. So it was time to get both updated.

Titan’s new favorite way to ride at the grocery store. He informed it was to make room for the baby when he or she comes.

It never ceases to amaze me how fun a plain old box and a set of markers can be! 🙂

We celebrated Titan’s birthday in Utah with a party and then had a mini celebration of our own here in Colorado as well on the actual day of his birthday. He was quite excited to get his own Disney Infinity Set from Mom and Dad!

For dinner on his birthday we let Titan decide where he wanted to go and he choose Hu Hot!

My baby looks so grown up in this photo! Can’t believe he’s 5!

Never a dull moment with these two crazies! Love them!

One of Ti’s favorite parts of the meal was the HUGE slice of cake of ice cream they brought him for his birthday!

On a side note, it was the day after Hu Hot that my morning sickness hit hard and strong for the first time this pregnancy. I woke up on November 6th and could barely function! Sadly, now every time I even think about Hu Hot – my stomach churns. Apparently Baby #2 isn’t a big fan of mongolian food. 😉 I am very grateful though that I felt fine all through Halloween and Titan’s birthday celebrations!

Lunch after family photos. I told Broc when we got married that we would get family photo’s done once a year and so far we haven’t missed a year! This year we almost cancelled (I wasn’t feeling super awesome) but we powered through and ended up getting a couple good shots!

Bribery may have been a big part of the success!

Learning time! We try to have Titan do at least 1-2 worksheets each morning to work on his thinking skills and his handwriting. In November we were able to use some cute Thanksgiving printables I found online.

A lunch date at Starbucks!  Ti was getting concerned with how sick I was all month and so we tried to do some extra special things like a mini date where we walked to Starbucks and just spend time talking about whatever was on his mind. Love my mini dates with this little man!

Game time! Working on our numbers and our especially our sportsmanship. A certain someone doesn’t like to lose… 🙂

Checkers!
PS: These games were both from a really cute box set of Toy Story games I picked up at TJ Maxx. I love when I can find activities for us to use during our Homeschool/Preschool time at a great price!

Writing Titan’s letter to Santa! (This mom wanted all her Christmas shopping done by December 1st!)

This year Titan asked for a few things but his main request was for a couple Crystal Disney Infinity Characters!

…and these would be Broc’s “special” brownies that he was going to try and sell to all the people waiting in line at Best Buy for the release of the Playstation 4. He made the brownies while I was gone at school and then left once I got home to try to sell them. He figured if he advertised them as “special”  brownies and people thought they were pot brownies…that was their own mistake. To be fair, he did specially season them with some italian herb spice from our pantry to make them special. Of course, he was sorely disappointed when he got to Best Buy and they had let the people in early. Guess he will have to try again next year! 😉

A family favorite! Cheese fries and Cheesecake at Outback!

We make a few visits to Hobby Lobby each month it seems and every time Titan likes to stop and play with the mini figures they have on hand.

Learning about the Pilgrims and Indians via a virtual field trip to the Plymouth Plantation!

Fun at Walgreens! Titan thought this hat AND beard combo was the coolest thing ever!

After a few weeks in Colorado it was back to Utah again for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Thanksgiving morning my dad’s whole side of the family gets together for breakfast at Johanna’s in Sandy. It was during breakfast that we decided to announce to my side of the family that Baby #2 is on his or her way!
Here are some of the photo’s we tried to take to announce it on Facebook. My boys were so delighted to be taking photo’s if you can’t tell! 😉

Luckily in the second set we took they were a little more happy to participate! 🙂
…and this is the only picture I took at our Thanksgiving dinner with Broc’s side of the family. A butter carved turkey though does require some documentation! I mean, how cute is that?!

The day after Thanksgiving we got together with a lot of my family and went to see Free Birds. The kids liked it, the adults all slept through it. And, that is about all I can say for that movie!

…and this is what I was doing almost every night in November by 6:00 or 7:00pm. Watching Christmas specials on Hulu in my pajamas and enjoying another mini meal in hopes of keeping the nausea at bay!

This year we celebrated Titan’s 5th birthday in Utah so that we could have it at the Thanksgiving Point Megaplex Theater in Lehi where my mom works. Titan’s main request was that his party be with his cousins and at Grandma Cindy’s theater!

I loved how the party turned out, but I did make a memo not to plan any more of his parties for two days after Halloween! 🙂 Of course, crazy is what we do best around here, so that’s not to say it won’t happen again.

The birthday party invites. Ti LOVED that they looked “just like” an event ticket!

For Titan’s party favors I ended up lucking out and finding these cute popcorn containers at the Dollar Store. And, they came in a two pack. So they were only $0.50 each. (I’m sure they are way cheaper online somewhere but I was working last minute. So I was happy with $0.50 each!)
We filled them with party favors like a ring pop, silly string, chocolate, etc. (None of those are really movie themed, but that’s what you get when you have your 4 (almost 5!) year old helping you pick them out.

Once they were filled, we wrapped them in a cellophane bag, tied them off and attached a quick movie themed Thank You note.
The finished product ready to take to the theater!

Theater #17 (The VIP Theater at Megaplex)
Titan’s own private movie theater for the morning!
The Concessions Movie Pack that each of the “VIP Guests” got.

Everyone waiting for the movie to start.
I can’t say what movie we showed due to certain restrictions but Titan thought it was SO cool that he got to see one of his favorite movies again on the big screen! I mean what kid wouldn’t love to have a whole movie theater just for them and all their friends?! (Super big thanks to my mom for helping us make the whole party happen!!)

The entrance to the Director’s Suite where we had cake and ice cream and did presents after the movie.

Titan helped me pick out the color scheme and it ended up working out quite well. Can’t go wrong with purple, red and black!

The present table.

At the last minute I couldn’t resist putting some photo’s of Titan out from when he was a baby! I can’t believe how big he has gotten! Or how fast the last five years have gone!

I ordered these water bottle labels from an Etsy shop online and they ended up turning out so cute!

The cake table.

Another last minute grab was these white frames I purchased at IKEA for only $1.00 each! I can’t wait to use them again at other parties!

Titan’s Birthday Cake!

(Note: I ordered the cake from the bakery at Harmon’s and they were phenomenal to work with! They were awesome at helping me pick out a design and get what I wanted, and the cake tasted good too! I would definitely order more cakes from them in the future!)

The birthday boy enjoying some cake!

Some of our VIP guests!

My dad teasing Titan that he was going to take the rest of the cake for himself! 🙂
Present time!
Our little man! That smile melts me every time…even when he is wearing a dinosaur hat!

Funny story… my brother’s family gave Titan his first ever “fanny pack” for him to use on our upcoming vacation to Disney World. When Titan first opened it though he didn’t realize what it was and he said, “A PURSE?!!!?? I DON’T WANT a purse!” Luckily, Uncle Aaron jumped right up to show him what it was and to explain that he could use it on the vacation. Once that happened, Titan thought it was pretty cool. LOL

Family shots!

And, what party isn’t complete without some impromptu party games like “Get the Balloon off the Ceiling with a Random Archery Bow!”

You just thought I was kidding! 🙂
Last but not least, the cute Thank You notes that we found to go with the theme…and that we may or may not still need to send out!  ðŸ™‚
Overall I am so glad we did this party with family seeing as how in the upcoming years we have no idea where we will be in the United States. This was probably Titan’s last chance to have his birthday with cousins for quite some time. So I am glad he will have these awesome memories. I am also so glad this party was super easy to plan for, decorate and carry out…I may finally be starting to get the hang of these no-stress birthday parties after all! 😉

Halloween was a lot of fun for Titan this year because he got to spend it with his cousins who all live here in Utah. We started off the day by turning in his coloring page for the Harmon’s coloring contest, trick-or-treating at Harmon’s and of course getting some grocery shopping done!

All of the Harmon’s employees were dressed up and they had various stations you could trick-or-treat at. Yet another reason Harmon’s is my most favorite grocery store! (Now if they would just branch out to other states…)

Titan as himself.

…and now as Thor!

The many faces and poses of Thor!

The sunglasses were Titan’s idea. He thought they made him look more serious and tough! 😉

I know I am biased, but seriously, most handsome and cute Thor EVER!

Trick-or-Treating with cousins!

My brother and sister-in-law in full Duck Dynasty gear!

At the very end of trick-or-treating I had to run off to a class. I told Broc Titan had better still be in his costume when I got home! (And there had better still be some candy too…) 🙂

Family shot!

Thor and all his loot! The neighborhood I grew up in did not disappoint!

Titan’s organized candy. ‘Cause every 4 year old groups and counts their candy, right?!

Can we say, “Sugar high for days?!?”
