as previously mentioned i am ocd about my hair. about hair in general. i have probably changed my hair in one way or another every 2-3 months since i was in high school.
you see about the time puberty hit, my naturally straight hair decided to go curly and then as i’ve gotten older my once toe head blonde hair, has turned a brownish “non” color. for years i have fought the curl. in fact, some people don’t even know my hair is naturally curly. the last year or so though, i have attempted to embrace the curliness. attempted to learn to work with my hair, and not against it. i’ve also experimented quite a bit with different colors. went from super blonde to almost black and now back to blonde, all over the course of about 2 years. i used to keep thinking i was just searching for the perfect cut and color and once i found that, i’d be set. i’d keep that for the rest of my life. i’ve come to realize though, that probably won’t be the case with me. i will probably still be switching things up with my hair 30 years from now.
as for right now, i currently have my eye on jennifer aniston’s color & style. i love her casual and laid back hair (i mean, who doesn’t?). styled but not coiffed. brown but with some blonde mixed in. i’m loving it for sure.
i went super dark brown a while ago and that was not me. every time i looked in the mirror it shocked me. i’ve always pictured myself as a blonde. blonde is pricey though. those roots don’t color themselves and so as we head into the “med school years”, as i’ve begun calling them, i’m thinking maybe jen’s hair would be a good compromise? something i could upkeep without breaking the bank?!?
or maybe i’ll stay blonde at this next appointment coming up, but go super short again?
decisions. decisions.
