phew! i’m back. the shower is over & i believe it was a success. i was so pleased with how it turned out. even my chicken salad, i am told, was tasty! i am always so nervous cooking for a large crowd. i love doing it, but i probably stress way more than i should! anyone else like that? in fact, as i was driving everything over to the location i suddenly started rethinking all my decision from the salad to the florals. oui. a day in my mind, be glad you aren’t living it sometimes. 🙂
my stress was pointless though (isn’t stress always pointless?) because the bride to be loved it and that’s all that matters. she had a fabulous time and got to spend time with her friends and family celebrating her big day, which really is the most important detail! will post all the photo’s, recipes, details, what did and didn’t work, etc. next week.
the first is aussie’s three minute miracle. i am in love with this conditioner. i blow dry, straighten, curl, comb & anything else you can do to damage your hair practically on a daily basis. i am so not nice to my hair. this product saves me though! i use it every few days and my hair is so so soft afterward. the best part is it’s under $4.00 at any store that sells hair products. i have sometimes spent 5x’s that for different conditioners. all of which worked as good as or worse than this beauty of a product. as soon as i found & tried this bad boy of a conditioner i have been in a committed conditioner relationship. i mean, you just can’t beat $4.00 for such a great product, and it lasts quite a while too, so don’t be deceived by it’s size. i think the only flaw is, at first i didn’t like how it squirts out the bottom and didn’t have a lid. i was slightly confused. now though, it doesn’t bother me. just beware when you buy it, the white bottom is not a cap or lid (do not try to remove) just remove the sticker, squirt, and begin conditioning.
the second product is paul mitchell’s awapuhi moisturizing mist. my sister-in-law introduced me to this product last saturday and it is moisture heaven in a bottle. it moisturizes your hair AND your skin! she suggested i put mine in the fridge and use cold, such a good idea! on a hot day, it’s seriously like a glass of ice cold water for your skin and hair, not kidding. the mist feels so good and smells fabulous when spritzed on. with all the running around i’ve been doing it was a nice refresher and “ahhhhh” moment spraying that on my face, skin, and hair over the course of last week. i was told it can even take the place of aloe vera when it comes to sunburns. my sister-in-law was asking me yesterday if i had gotten a sunburn yet so i could try it out. sadly, i have not. there has been no time for the pool thus far this week. although that’s changing tomorrow, so if i happen to burn, i’ll let you know. am actually hoping i never have to use it for a sunburn, but it is summer, one burn is bound to happen so when it does i’ll let you know – although i can already tell you i would prefer using this to aloe vera, far less gooey! the only downside to this product is it is a little pricey. it was around $25.00 but i’ve seen it on sale for around $20. definitely a great splurge/treat for summer though. if you don’t want to pay that for a product year round, i say just use it during the summer!
