the ross family 2010 bear lake vacation is over. we are now home. this year was the coldest year we have seen up there but it was still fun and worth the trip, even though we only had one semi good day on the boat. highlights of the trip include:

- incredible mini chocolate lava cakes made by bridgette, a friend of the family. these were to die for yummy. i can’t wait to get the recipe.
- some extremely funny games of catch phrase which included a moment when a family member fell prey to our utah accents. liter was pronounced or heard as leader and so someone blurted out “follower” as the other two clues of pint and gallon were being given. those “t’s” will get you every time here in utah. yes, never a dull moment with catch phrase. probably a moment you had to be there for, but believe me, it was funny.
- the viewing of glee’s first season via dvd, a laugh out loud funny show indeed.
- lots and lots of fountain diet cokes (refills for a 44 oz. only .75 cents = heaven!)
- mint chocolate chip ice cream from the store, so delicious.
- long walks with the mini man in his stroller around town and the golf course. a one hour walk one day, and a two hour walk the next. (ps – walking in newish flip flops for that long…not a good idea!)
- the little man now says swimsuit, chinchilla, see you soon, and cheeto’s in his ever growing vocabulary. he sure grew to love cheeto’s on this trip & would literally hunt a pack of them down.
- everyone laughing at the little man’s constant use of the word “coke”. yes, the mini man does know what coke is. sad & hysterically funny, but true.
- lots of chasing, running, and early mornings at the park.
- rocking out to tunes like “we are family” and “party like a rockstar” on the boat – loved the sound system on the boat!!! love pretty much everything about boating. i keep telling broc, “one day…one day…we will own a boat.” i love boating & everything about it. the sun, the waves, the water, the tubing – you just can’t beat it!!! one day…
- the little man stealing half of a dunford donut from his grandpa without grandpa noticing until he was a safe distance away. he’s a quick one, you have to watch out for him.
and now for the photo’s:

down by the lake. the water was up really high and then went back down leaving some mini lakes for the baby boy to play in. he loved splish splashing and running around. the mini lakes were perfect since they weren’t deep and they were warmer than the actual lake which was pretty cold. although, he did spend some time in the actual lake as the cold didn’t seem to bother him – it just bothered his mom, who isn’t a fan. i kept encouraging the mini lakes, he kept wandering over to the actual lake – he is truly our little adventurer.
of course he found the dirtiest one. all boy!
chasing after the seagulls, trying to figure them out.
the little man felt between 5:45 & 6:15 am was the perfect time to wake up every morning of the trip, and as the rest of the condo was still sleeping at that time, it meant walks to the park for us until 7:30 or 8:00. here he is somewhat patiently waiting for me to grab my jacket and flip flops outside our door.
the playground and view of the lake
more scenery
he toted along a mini pack of m&m’s on this morning. always a prepared little boy. he sure love’s his chocolate (as does his mom!)

cuddles
kisses
serious little man
i was trying to get him to smile for the camera but he was too busy looking around and plotting his next adventure.
going, going, gone!
this is the view we had of the little man most of the trip. he loved running around
on the grass and the paths between the condo’s.
swinging with mom.
ps: my sisters give me crap for never posting “ugly pics”. their term for non posed or non “i totally got ready for them” pics. so here you have it, pictures of me freakishly early in the morning after literally rolling out of bed & throwing on a jacket. this is as real as it gets people. there was no teeth brushing, no make-up, well other than smudged make-up leftover from the day before as i didn’t wash my face before bed (a serious skin no no that i break frequently) no hair brushing, no lipgloss, no shower, no acne coverage… nothing, nada, zip, zilch – i’m even still in my pajama’s! yep, this is 100% what my husband wakes up to in the morning, but as these pictures are the only proof though that i was actually on the trip, you get what you get.
the mini cousins out for a joy ride on the tube.
i love how blue bear lake is! so pretty!
brod man on the end has the right idea, chillin and taking in some rays! too cute!
one of the days when titan woke up from his nap we looked over from our camp chairs to see him peering at us through the blinds of the sliding glass door. he’s not so dumb. he knows where the party is and how to get someone’s attention. it was the funniest thing ever him peering at us, like “hello? anyone? anyone? i see you! come get me!!!)
too cute! love this smart little cutie!
the end. until next year…
