wow! my “to post” list is getting to be a mile long. there has been so much going on since we got here, i barely know what to post about first. i guess i’ll start with our visit to the denver zoo last night, as it is the most current thing we’ve done.
as part of orientation at rocky vista (the school Broc is attending) they have a few family activities this week, last night was the zoo and thursday is a pool party. i have been looking forward to this week so i can meet some of the spouses of the students and start to build some friendships here in colorado. i’m definitely going to need friends here over the next few years as i’m basically losing my husband! 🙂
so last night we loaded up the little man and headed to downtown denver to mingle with broc’s new classmates, eat dinner, and see some fun animals.
it turned out to be quite the fun night! we were able to spend the better part of dinner meeting some really nice couples while we ate our hot dogs and chips, and then it was off to the animals. i don’t think the little man could run fast enough. am fairly certain he would have climbed in with the camels or sea lions had we let him. overall, i was really impressed with the zoo. i was told it was a great zoo and it did not disappoint. we are thinking about season passes there next year for at least the mini man and myself. it is definitely nicer than the hogle zoo in utah. try as they might in utah, the zoo there just does not compare.
am so glad we got a chance to see the zoo last night!
