meet the robinsons

i absolutely love disney's movie meet the robinsons. in fact, if i had to select a favorite disney movie, 

meet the robinsons would be it! we have had it on repeat around here for the little man this week (it 

seems its becoming a favorite of his as well) and although many lines stand out to me every time i watch it, this conversation between goob and lewis really stood out to me yesterday. if you haven't seen the 

movie, goob is trying to get back at lewis for an event that happened years before and he has spent 

oodles of time contemplating and planning revenge on lewis for that one event that he swears ruined his 

life and is apparently all lewis's fault. this movie really has so many good lessons for us all. of course the main lesson being, forget about the past and keep moving forward. stop blaming other's for everything 

and take responsibility for your own actions and attitude no matter what happens. we always can choose to act instead of react. always. this is something i am really working on lately, acting instead of reacting.

it's a tough one to perfect though (at least for me!) and so i'm sure i'll be working on it for a while! 

basically, negative words, attitudes, and actions don't lead to inspiration and progression because they 

focus on the past. on what did or didn't happen, on what did or didn't work, on what was or wasn't done.an inspired life is one that is always moving forward, always focused on the positive.

the past is the past so leave it there (another thing i'm working on!), your past only has a place in your 

future if you keep bringing it into your future. it's that simple. let's all keep moving forward.
