today after getting home from work, feeding the baby lunch, putting him down for his nap & getting dinner into the crock pot i found myself with an hour that i deemed “me time”. i pulled out a bag of milk chocolate chips to snack on (with a diet coke of course), turned on hulu and set to work giving myself a manicure. a task that requires much patience on my part. i figure practice makes perfect though, so i’m determined to keep plugging along until my own manicure looks as good as a salon one. anyone else struggle with this as well? it just never looks as good when i do it myself?!

of course, back to my diy mani, i had to laugh because no sooner had i sat down and put on the first coat of my it, when broc walked in the door, totally home early from school & waking up the mini man with the garage. like seriously? so much for “me” time and thinking i’d actually have an hour to drink my diet coke, watch hulu and wait for my nails to dry in peace! 🙂 gotta love it!
