we had our first snowfall of the season yesterday and i am la la loving it! it feels as though the thanksgiving/christmas season has now officially arrived. a few other things on my “love” list right now are:
i am loving the song firework by katy perry. it is now actually my ringtone.
i am loving my new mug that my family brought back for me from california. so thoughtful of them & such a perfect souvenir for me.
i am loving this article about stay at home mom’s. it totally brought a smile to my face. i mean, honestly. did they watch me for a day? oh, the life of a stay at home mom! it can’t be beat!
i am loving that dinner was super easy last night thanks to this mexican casserole recipe over at sister’s cafe. one word, yummy!
i am loving this 6 foot tall nutcracker that i saw at costco today. to quote rachel zoe “i die”. please, please someone i know, buy one. i would buy one myself, except well, i don’t have $180.00 laying around and i’m fairly certain my in-laws don’t want to come home to him on their front porch? plus, where would i store him? oh the possibilities for this nutcracker, think of the photo op’s people?! one day. one day i will have a home and a place for such a fabulous christmas decoration.
last but not least, i love that my sister has gotten our whole family excited about running (well, attempting to run) a 5k on thanksgiving morning. the run is to benefit the huntsman cancer institute which is very near and dear to us as a family right now. why? because it was the incredible doctors at the huntsman institute that worked miracles day in and day out and took such incredible care of my grandmother the last two years before she passed. we are all running in her memory as she was always without fail a perfect example of staying active and of giving back. you can read more about the run and also donate to the cause if you’d like on my sister’s blog, here.
ps. i realize that my son is not wearing any pants in most his pictures or video’s. there is a reason for this, i promise. he seems to be a rather “regular” little man, more so than most other little people & on average we have had to change his diaper at least 4-5 times a day, every day for the last 2 years. so you know, you do that for long enough and you’d start skipping a few steps, like putting pants back on, as well. we do make sure he has pants on every most of the time he leaves the house.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Kyrie used to go around pants less when she was little(er) too.
