Somehow this darling little munchkin is old enough to be graduating preschool and heading to kindergarten. Every school year better not go this fast! Her preschool graduation was just a day after we returned home from a week long vacation to California so I was scrambling to put a fun day together last minute. Lucky for me there are some darn cute ideas on Pinterest!
I ordered Oh, the Places You’ll Go! off of Amazon.com before I left on vacation and had her preschool teacher sign it. Each year I am going to sneak it in to her teacher to have them leave a message for her. I am thinking that it will be an AWESOME graduation present by the time she is done with school! There is still time to get it shipped by Wednesday if you would like to do it this year or you can run into your local book store as well.
Did not have time to be as creative as I would love liked for a teacher gift so I sent the hubs to Target for a gift card and downloaded these darling templates from The Domesticated Lady. My daughter drew a picture of herself and her preschool teacher on the front.
I also had my husband pick up flowers for our little sweetheart. Her little brother gave them to her and she was so happy to get them.
I wish I had more time for this tradition! The goal was to have the entire entry way criss crossed with the crepe paper, but time and wind prevented that so it is what it is. Regardless, she had a TON of fun running through it!
As for our last tradition, I borrowed it from my sister in law. She surprises her kiddos with water balloons when they get home the last day of school to welcome in the summer.
Definitely a keeper! She LOVED it. She was begging for more water ballons the rest of the day.
Next week we will make our summer goals! Time to get ready for kindergarten, right?
What are your end of the school year traditions?
